Creative Director to join a branding and communications agency in London.

Overall experience: an all rounder who has experience in brand building and developing comms campaign concepts - someone who understands brand and how to build on this to interpret it across multiple channels. Alongside this, they will have worked closely with copywriters, account handlers and strategists.

**Overall requirements**
- Be responsible for all creative solutions
- Ensure the highest standards of creativity are maintained within the set budget
and time frame
- Lead, mentor and develop the creative team
- Work closely with the Strategy Director, using their insight and guidance to steer work

**Build better strategic understanding of our clients**
- Work closely with account management team ensuring that all those involved have a clear understanding of the client's brand, objectives and their needs
- Collaborate with the account management team to estimate, plan, and lead all creative work
- Develop and maintain great relationships with clients
- Guide the Creative Services Manager to resource the creative team and bring in specialist advisors for key projects and pitches

**Push creative excellence**:

- With the key account handler, be responsible all of key projects and pitches, suggesting suitable resources, designating responsibilities and time frames (with the Creative Services Manager)
- To understand and help approve all creative briefs and work coming from the Strategy Director
- Be responsible for drawing constructive conclusions within creative reviews

**To support the management of the team**:

- Be ultimately responsible for the creative teams' morale, development, performance and their reviews, setting out KPI's, progress and career planning
- Be responsible for the appointment of any new recruits and freelancers within the team
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise, taking into account all views and suggest solutions
- Effective and efficient management of creative freelancers, alongside the Creative Services Manager
- Support the management team with any issues or decisions
- Help to onboard the new Creative Services Manager and new joiners across the agency by helping them to understand the process and team skillsets

- Be proactive in ensuring standards are maintained

**Key skills-**
- Understand how strategy, creative, acc management and copy all can work harmoniously together and can specifically work with copywriter to shape and direct their work.
- Able to be hands on if needed - not only to brainstorm and generate ideas but to be able to take a route and develop it if needed.
- Must have experience of managing a team, from inspiring them to being a 'team leader'
- To be ideas-led with an understanding of the 'craft'.
- Some experience with B2B brands would be helpful.
- Able to bring new ideas and technologies with them.
