We have a fantastic job opportunity for an energetic and motivated Support Worker to join our Out-of-Hours team. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our services and clients during emergency situations, both during the day and night.

You’ll be an integral part of our unique team, dedicated to delivering exceptional service and upholding the values of Home Group.

As a Support Worker, you’ll be respond to a wide range of situations and provide support to colleagues, customers, and external agencies. These may include inquiries about availability of emergency beds for homeless individuals, supporting customers experiencing mental health crises, and addressing emergency staffing needs.

You’ll be paired with experienced team members on shift and have the support of a seasoned Out-of-Hour’s manager to help you navigate challenges and achieve the best outcomes.

As a member of our team, you’ll quickly become a part of our close-knit, supportive community. Our induction process will include coaching and guidance from our seasoned colleagues, who’ll help you become familiar with the region and our exceptional services.

**Working hours**

We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day and you’ll work on a rota basis. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you

We have dayshift weekends (9am - 9pm) and evenings Monday - Friday (5pm - 9pm) available.

**About you**

You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.

You have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, decision making, alongside working collaboratively. You also have experience in supporting people with daily living and achieving their goals, making informed decisions, organisational skills and working under pressure.

- When you join as a Support Worker, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one._

**About our teams**

You’ll work with a diverse group of individuals who are welcoming and supportive to newcomers. The Core Out-of-Hours Team is led by Jama and Ananya.

Jama has been with Home Group since 2011 and started out as a concierge before transitioning to a support worker role within Out-of-Hours. Jama is perfectly placed to support you as you join.

Ananya, who has recently been promoted to a managerial position within the Out-of-Hours team, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team and has worked here for several years. She is an invaluable resource and is always willing to help guide and support team members through any situation.
