Mitie Plan Zero is looking to hire a Partner or Principal in the Transport Decarbonisation Consulting practice, who will join the team's leadership team.

Plan Zero is Mitie's Energy and Decarbonisation practice, focused on defining and delivering net zero solutions to customers, across the areas of buildings, energy, transport, waste, and biodiversity. **Details on the role**

The role will be part of Mitie Plan Zero Transport Consulting's Leadership Team, reporting to the Head of Transport Consulting, and play a key role in growing the practice, originating new business, and developing the team. You will work closely with Mitie's other Plan Zero Consulting teams which support clients in the areas of Buildings, Power, Biodiversity and Waste. You will also collaborate with the broader Energy and Decarbonisation team, which designs and builds decarbonisation solutions for clients, acting as a lead generator for the creation of pipelines of EV charging infrastructure projects on the back of the consulting engagements.

The role will focus on driving client relationships and project opportunities for Transport Decarbonisation projects, working across public and private customers to ensure work winning. As a Partner / Principal, you will lead a pool of Senior Managers, Consultants and Analysts to support you in scoping and delivering transport decarbonisation consulting engagements for clients, focused on fleet transition and EV charging infrastructure solutions.

***Key Responsibilities**:

- **Sales and business development**
- Sourcing, growing and maintaining a pipeline of business development opportunities across all our key transport consulting offerings
- Developing innovative commercial propositions to support our client's decarbonisation ambitions
- **Client Engagement and Relationship Management**:

- Developing and maintaining strong senior stakeholder client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor in the field of sustainable transport and EV charging strategies
- Collaborating with clients to understand their transport decarbonisation and EV charging objectives and challenges, and tailor solutions to meet their unique needs.
- **Project Management and Delivery**:

- Managing and overseeing the execution of transport consulting engagements, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget by the pool of consulting resource
- Leading cross-functional teams, providing guidance and mentorship to other team members
- Designing and running multi-stakeholder senior client workshops to work through or report on project or business development activities
- **Market Research and Thought Leadership**:

- Staying current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in transport decarbonisation and net-zero initiatives, particularly on the impact of technology and digital platforms that support organisations decarbonise their transport operations
- Acting as a thought leader within Mitie and outside of the organisation, creating thought leadership content, speaking at relevant events and representing Mitie as an expert in the field
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across Mitie to educate them on the topic of transport decarbonisation and what this means for our clients

**Experience & Skills**
- Extensive experience in transport and / or consulting fields
- Experience of working closely with clients and building long-term relationships
- Deep understanding of drivers and challenges of the transport decarbonisation mega trend as well as a view on the evolution of the market
- Clear understanding of factors impacting organisation's need for EV charging strategies, including a view on both hardware and software functionalities and capabilities
- Independent thinker, with excellent customer facing skills and the ability to build relationships both internally and with senior stakeholders of major clients
