Scantec FMCG recruitment have partnered with a national, leading FMCG Food Manufacturing business with a site based near Stirling, to assist in their search for a Production Planner.
This company are currently undergoing a multi million pound investment project at this site, and are looking to increase headcount significantly. This expansion will create excellent career development opportunities
In this role, you will provide a key role in the support of the planning function. You will have a strong understanding of the overall department to include customer service, forecasting and planning control.
**Hours / Shifts**:
Monday to Friday days
40 hours per week
**Planner - Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, direct and control all activities related to the planning function from forecast data processing through to daily production plan
- Plan schedules to produce the most cost-effective production plan on a daily/weekly basis to maximise returns
- Monitoring production throughout the day to ensure orders met for the day as required
- Liaise with Group and customers to ensure all customers' needs are met
- Provide supply chain support to Sales and Planning Manager and Livestock Procurement Manager to identify stock shortages and plan resolutions
- Maintain good relationships with existing customers.
- Maintain accurate and accessible data, records, trends and achievements against KPIs
- Address customer complaints and find solutions to issues raised.
- Utilise company database and systems to record and update plans.
- Co-ordinate with production teams to ensure plans and any changes to planned schedule are communicated in a timely and effective manner
- Co-ordinate with Technical team to ensure planned schedules can be delivered or highlight need for amendments to operating procedures and further operative training
- Ensuring stock levels are at correct levels to avoid shorting any commercial customers, whilst maintaining maximum product life on stocks
**Skills, knowledge & experience required**:
Any similar food or manufacturing experience will be considered.
