**Background**

An excellent opportunity for an experienced, high calibre Head of Marketing & Ecommerce to join a well-established jewellery company based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

**Browns Family Jewellers** has a reputation for excellence in both quality of product and customer service. The family business heritage stretches back over 180 years to 1840. Our success is driven through buying and selling fine jewellery and watches at highly competitive prices. We have nine high street stores and a strong online offering, in which we have invested heavily in recent years. We are now looking for a talented Head of Marketing & Ecommerce to help take our web business to the next level and drive substantial growth.

We seek an experienced, data-driven, confident marketing professional to create and manage digital strategies with the aim of driving significant sales growth (both online and in store) via our Shopify website and Klaviyo marketing automation platform. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will direct and prioritise all Marketing & Ecommerce initiatives and strategies.

This is fast paced, hands-on role, involving leadership of an established team and accountability for sales targets and web profitability. It is expected that this role will be predominantly office based.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Developing, implementing and delivering the Marketing & Ecommerce plan and targets to drive exponential growth in Ecommerce revenue and profitability.
- Direct line management and supervision of the Ecommerce team.
- Ensuring that planned marketing campaigns and promotions are executed effectively across all channels.
- Identifying, testing and optimising opportunities to improve on-site conversion and reduce cart abandonment.
- Measuring and monitoring Customer Experience through the use of analytics.
- Developing, implementing and optimising eCRM to improve customer retention and lifetime value metrics.
- Working closely with colleagues to continually optimise product and pricing mix, identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
- Driving footfall to our stores and cultivating collaborative working relationships with the store managers.
- Reporting and analysis of Ecommerce activity for senior management team on a regular basis.

**Experience and essential skills**:

- Over two years senior management experience in Marketing & Ecommerce
- Demonstrable record of generating growth, ideally with B2C brands within a luxury environment
- A commercial attitude with experience of managing large-scale budgets and working to strict targets
- Confidence to take the initiative and ability to present plans and results clearly to wider management team
- Shopify expertise
- Marketing team leadership experience (at least 3 direct reports)
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work onsite
