We currently representing a prestigious food distribution company based in Hemel Hempstead. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for the planning of the transport of food products from any location to their final destination, ensuring that allproducts are transported efficiently and on time.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the planning and scheduling of transport of all food products
- Route planning, loading and pick-up organisation, communication with hauliers and customers where need to
- Monitor and review the performance of the transportation process
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure that all orders are met in accordance with customer requirements
- Maintain and update records of all transportation transactions
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the efficient delivery of goods
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations
- Manage and coordinate the activities of external transport providers
- Monitor the costs associated with the transport of goods
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Transport Planner
- Good knowledge of transport regulations
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent problem-solving skills
