We are looking for a new Tearoom Operative to join our team at the Enham Trust Charity Café. For this role, you will need to be hardworking, a quick learner and have a passion for creating delicious food

We are looking for a determined individual who is passionate about making changes that will positively affect the lives of those living with a disability. They should have an agile approach to working and should be responsible and flexible to the needs and aspirations of people who use our services and adapt and support them accordingly. This will be a part time job share position.

This will be a part time job share position, the shifts would be agreed between our operative and supervisor which will be interchangeable to fairly cover Saturdays.

Ideally the shifts will be in 3 day blocks eg Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday for 2 weeks and then Thursday/Friday/Saturday for 2 weeks.

You would be expected to be able to cover full time to accommodate annual leave but otherwise we can be flexible to suit other commitments.

**As our Tearoom Operative, you will be responsible for**:
**Operational**:

- Cooking, serving, and presenting food and beverages to agreed portion size, menu description and quality standards
- Managing stocks and kitchen supplies so that wastage is minimised through effective product rotation, food handling and control
- Carrying out a thorough clean-down at end of service ensuring all stock is properly stored, waste is removed, and the premises are left ready for the next service
- Tearoom operations, meeting all food hygiene and health & safety requirements
- Respond and act upon any identified areas for improvement as identified by the Food Standards Agency
- Manage systems of control in the café to ensure high standards are maintained
- Procurement of goods required for the efficient running of the café, minimising food waste
- Maintaining all equipment in good working order
- Adhere to Trust policies and procedures and ensure that these are understood and adhered to throughout the services.
- Willingly engage with any other duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time.
- Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and support the Retail Manager in completion of monthly health & safety checks of the store.

**Quality**:

- Support the Retail manager to create a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Support the Retail Manager in ensuring there is a high standard of presentation in the tearoom
- Ensure and lead staff and volunteers with compliance and standard in café
- Deliver a high standard of service to customers.
- Undertake housekeeping to ensure the cleanliness of the store is maintained.

**Finance**:

- Support the Retail Manager in the achievement of budget profile by maximising sales and minimising costs
- Ensure till reconciliation, daily banking, and reporting.
- Stock take
- Actively support any charity wide fundraising promotions.

**Leadership**:
