Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Advisory Teacher to work in Wembley, London. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £29.88 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).

**The role**:
To contribute to the coordination of SEND provision in mainstream schools by providing training, advice and support to schools and direct interventions to children and young people

To work as part of the SEND Support Team to support the development of high quality SEND provision and quality first teaching across all schools

To work as part of the SEND Support Team to support work in the above sectors to enable the needs of children with special educational needs and/ or Disabilities (SEND) to be identified and successfully met

To deliver specialist intervention strategies to children and young people with SEND within their school cluster.

To support schools in raising the achievement of children and young people with SEND

**Key Responsibilities**:
To provide consultation, advice and training on the Code of Practice for the identification and assessment of children with SEND to maintained schools within the London Borough of Brent.

To consult with schools in order to identify (early) children in need of additional support to meet age-related outcomes and support the implementation of a range of intervention and support strategies.

To represent the SEND Support Team in settings, working alongside school and health practitioners in modelling good practice and appropriate strategies/resources to support children with a range of SEND and other vulnerabilities.

To liaise and work in a multi-agency context with appropriate agencies and professionals, ensuring that SENCOs and school staff receive consistent and relevant advice and support around the Code of Practice.

To extend individual school based practitioners' range of skills in providing inclusive strategies and approaches in order to remove barriers to learning for children with SEND.

To support SENCos and school staff e.g. SENCOs and key workers with the monitoring of children's progress following recommendations and setting of individual support plan targets.

To have expert knowledge of good SEND practice and dissiminate across settings and amongst Brent schools

To provide objective and accurate verbal and/or written feedback and observations/reports as required on identified children during periods of support, intervention and assessment.

To plan and deliver training that supports inclusion and enables practitioners to meet the needs of individual children with SEND.

To plan and deliver transition programmes for schools and or individual children with SEND at key transitional points in their education and care into new placements.

**Applicant Requirements**:

- **Qualifications**:University Degree at grade 2:2 or above and QTS.
- **Experience**:1+ year of post-graduate experience as a Teacher in the UK.
- **Compliance**:Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS check and references covering the last 3 years.
- **Travel**:Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- **Hours**:36 hours p/w.
