Vehicle Converter

Leo Engineering is a company based on Bingswood Industrial Estate, Whaley Bridge in the High Peak, that specialises in converting panel vans into wheelchair accessible vehicles. We are looking to employ a vehicle converter on a full-time basis.

Overview:
**Duties**:

- Assemble and convert vehicles according to specifications
- Utilize hand tools, power tools for vehicle modifications
- Follow schematics and instructions for vehicle conversions
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed

**Experience**:

- Prior experience in vehicle conversion or related mechanical work is preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Capability to lift heavy objects during vehicle conversion processes

If you aren’t as experienced, we could also look at a trainee role. This role would see you have an extended training period and paired with one of our experienced team members where you will pick up the skills needed to complete your own conversions.

The job is on a full time basis with a 6 month probationary period. We work a 40 hour week staring at 8am to 16:30 Monday to Friday inclusive, with statutory holidays of 28 days per year (pro rata).

Pay: £8.60-£13.32 per hour
