Job Summary:
Join our team at Shaker & May, an independent company specialising in kitchen design, manufacturing, and installation. With locations in Bath and Frome, Somerset, we are seeking a talented Kitchen Designer to work across both sites.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a growing business and join our unique team. We are specifically seeking a designer with previous experience, preferably in the bespoke industry. As our business expands, each team member plays a vital role in managing multiple projects, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the entire kitchen design process.

**Responsibilities**:

- Meeting with clients to ascertain the intended functions and appearance of each space.
- Anticipating and informing clients of additional features which may be of use to them.
- Giving careful consideration to the placement of water and electrical systems to ensure safety.
- Creating a plan which details the layout and appearance of all installations and loose furniture.
- Suggesting appropriate materials and finishes.
- Assisting clients to select and supervise the work of independent contractors, so that their duties are conducted in accordance with clients' visions.
- Informing clients about appropriate care for their kitchens.

**Requirements**:
1. Proficiency in CAD Software: This is essential for this role as it will be used extensively to create detailed designs and visualisations.

3. Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills: Effective communication and outstanding customer service are key aspects of this role. Your ability to listen attentively, understand client preferences, and respond promptly and professionally will contribute to customer satisfaction.

4. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is essential in kitchen design. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to create precise and accurate designs that align with clients' expectations.

5. Exceptional Organisational and Time Management Skills: With multiple projects to manage, excellent organizational and time management skills are vital. You will be responsible for coordinating and prioritising tasks to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.

6. Respect for Diverse Perspectives and Financial Situations: We value a team player who respects and appreciates differing opinions, design styles, and financial situations. Your ability to work collaboratively and adapt to varying client needs will contribute to our success.
