Bennett and Game are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor for our client based in Glasgow, our client are experts within the civil engineering sector that offer the chance to work on some exciting projects.

The HSE Advisor will be responsible for use their knowledge and skills to promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace. The primary purpose is ensuring that employers and workers comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.

HSE Advisor Position Overview
- Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
- Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards
- Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
- Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
- Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy
- Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
- Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements
- Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all health and safety executive (hse) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry

HSE Advisor Position Requirements
- As a minimum a degree or national certificate in Quality, Engineering or other scientific discipline
- Completed a course Quality System Auditing
- The ability to communicate at all levels.
- A pragmatic approach to issues and their resolution.
- Complete knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001:2008, ISO45001:2018 and ISO14001:2015 and have been trained in Quality System Auditing Techniques.
- The ability to transfer knowledge through training.

HSE Advisor Position Remuneration
- Salary £35k - £40k
