We are currently recruiting for a fantastic organisation to support in Dundee. We are looking for support practitioners to work within housing support services. The role of a support practitioner will involve working directly with adults supporting them with all aspects of their life including developing life skills such as communication, social skills, and encouraging independence.

What can you expect from joining this specialist team:

- Provide high-quality care and support to individuals in Dundee
- Foster independence and enhance the quality of life for those in need
- Supporting people in their own homes supporting them with their personal care such as bathing and toileting, medication administration, meal preparation, inspiring a healthy lifestyle, and household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Encourage the involvement of activities such as seeing friends, taking part in social gatherings such as organised walks, a tea dance or coffee mornings, going out to lunch, watching movies or trips to the cinema, going to the gym or simply out for a walk around the block and your role will be to encourage and facilitate this.

What you will bring to the role - to excel in this specialist setting you will need to evidence:

- Experience with complex care, learning disabilities and mental health
- Good team-working skills and a positive attitude are essential qualities
- Ability to communicate effectively and use your own initiative
- Strong work ethic and organised to support routines
- Able to prioritize and manage workloads
- Eager to develop
- A genuine passion for caring for others
- Patience and understanding
