The BCI - the world-leading professional association for business continuity and resilience professionals is looking for an enthusiastic Web Editor to join their Marketing Team.

The Web Editor will play a crucial role for the organisation in managing the website and ensuring that the work of the BCI is communicated effectively online, especially through their website. This role will involve working closely with colleagues across all departments and with external web developers, a mix of content editing & development, and website analysis through the use of Google Analytics, GA4, and Google Tag Manager.

The Web Editor will report to the Marketing Manager and join an enthusiastic and successful team at an exciting time for the organisation and its digital transformation projects.

Key Accountabilities
- Edit and proof read copy for the website in line with SEO best practice and keep the overall website content up to date
- Track and analyse web traffic in Google Analytics, and optimise journeys, structure and content where necessary
- Manage content schedules for different areas of the business and regions
- Set up and track KPIs/Goals/Events in Google Analytics, GA4 and GTM
- Create processes for updating web content
- Use Adobe suite (mainly Photoshop) to create professional, engaging imagery
- Understand the requirements of internal and external stakeholders
- Produce reports on web traffic and KPIs

**Skills**:

- Self-motivated, flexible, and have a proactive attitude
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written English
- Experience in producing on-line communications for a professional audience, including information gathering, writing, sub-editing, and proof reading
- Experience in information architecture and developing SEO content
- Experience using content management systems and the ability to adapt to new ones
- Design capabilities
- Familiarity with user-centred design processes and web accessibility issues
- Experience of using web traffic and behavioural analytics tools to produce reports
- Project management skills

This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week. This role is predominantly homebased with attendance at the office in Reading at least twice a month
