**Main duties & responsibilities**:

- Support the management accountant in all aspects of tasks within the finance team.
- Assist with month end close and the preparation of the monthly management accounts including, balance sheet reconciliations and calculating and posting journals.
- Full ownership of accounting for fixed assets, prepayments and accruals.
- Overseeing all company’s intercompany accounts and ensuring they are reconciled.
- Implementing process improvements, investigating and resolving variances and enhancing controls.
- Producing profit and loss reports.
- Creation of profit and loss analytics.
- Organisation and creation of all process notes relevant to the finance function.
- Assist with the creation and improvement of all finance KPI’s.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Assist with yearend including audit.
- VAT return documentation preparation.
- Process expenses, mileage and company credit cards.
- Cover for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Daily invoicing.
- Data entry, filing & scanning.
- Ad hoc administrative duties & reporting.
- Follow the requirements of the Company’s ISO Procedure.
- Follow the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, work instructions & safe systems of work.

**Post Requirements**:

- Minimum of two years’ experience within a finance environment is essential.
- Studying AAT to be qualified to Level 4 or equivalent experience.
- You have the ability to work to tight deadlines, multitask, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Your attention to detail is excellent, with an ability to understand how the detail fits into the wider picture.
- Proven track record in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation.
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficient.
- Excellent communication skills.
