**About us**
Cedarwell ltd is a small business in Ossett. We are a high quality bespoke commercial joinery company working in areas like TV, office and bar/hospitality.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Joinery Working Supervisor. As a Working Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring the timely completion of projects and maintaining high-quality standards. You will lead a team of quality joiners, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize productivity and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the workshop activities, including planning, organizing, and executing joinery projects to meet specified deadlines and quality standards.
- Lead, train, and motivate the team, providing guidance and support
- Ensure that all joinery work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to the team, troubleshooting issues, and offering innovative solutions.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency of our workshop.
- Collaborate with client project managers and communicate with them to provide updates on project progress, address any concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
- Generate cut lists for the joiners
- Weekly health and safety checks on workshop equipment
**We want someone**:
- Comfortable working with clients and building strong relationships
- Who can lead by example when making furniture
- Has experience of furniture installations
- Has a passion for what they do and appreciates the creativity and artistry of the work
- Values flexibility in their working week
- With the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
- Who is a skilled problem solver with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
**Qualifications or relevant experience**:
- Ideally 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
- CSCS preferred but not essential
- NVQ level 3, or ability to demonstrate proficiency
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Freelance
**Salary**: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
