An exciting opportunity has become available for a Care Quality Advisor to join the organisation.

This is a home-based role with regular travel across a number of Anchor locations.

**About the role**:
The Care Quality Adviser will support operational colleagues to ensure services are compliant with regulation and legislation in relation to care practice through hands on support provided in the service at a local, regional and, if required, national level. Deliver coaching, guidance and upskilling to operational colleagues in best practice care, care planning documentation and dementia. Identify areas for continuous improvement and work alongside operational colleagues to embed high-quality care.

You will lead on key areas of care practice by updating and developing policy, communicating across the organisation and supporting the learning and development training team to ensure training is current and fit for purpose. This is a hands on role, leading by example to drive improvements in person centred care and dementia.

You will be required to take part in an on-call rota that will require some weekend and evening working. (This will be approximately 1 week every 14 weeks) There will also be a requirement for occasional overnight stays to support the needs of the business.

**Key responsibilities**
- Reporting into the National Care Quality Manager, responsibilities will include:

- Being a role model, promoting the Anchor culture and behaviours to drive delivery
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements and legislation
- Coaching and supporting Home, Deputy and Home Care Managers to drive improvements in person centred care and dementia delivery
- To provide expertise around care and dementia and to partner the regional Operations management team (more specifically District Managers and location managers)
- The Care Quality Advisor will be allocated a primary area they cover. However, the post requires flexibility in number of services and regional cover as allocated from time to time by the National Care Quality Manager.

**Required knowledge & experience**
- A proven track record of delivering best practice in care and dementia.
- Experience of working with older adults.
- Coaching, supporting and embedding improvements and inspiring change in care and dementia
- Problem solving and hands on practical support.
- Strong communication and engagement skills
- Able to facilitate solutions to support operational teams
- Detailed knowledge of the Health & Social Act 2008 (regulated activities and regulations 2014)
- Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009
- Mental Capacity Act 2005
- The Care Act Safeguarding Adults 2014
- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards 2009
- Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
