**Accounts Payable Clerk**

Based in Thame, Oxfordshire this well-regarded worldwide brand name is a leader in its field, and they are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the finance team on a permanent basis. Travel to London will be required 2-3 times a month, but expectedto reduce in the new year.

This job would suit someone with Purchase Ledger or relevant accounting experience. The main purpose of the position will be to ensure that all purchase ledger responsibilities are performed accurately and in line with appropriate deadlines.

The successful individual will have experience in a finance team, with hands on use of using a finance system for input and reporting. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite especially Excel is also essential. You must be highly organised, numerical withexcellent attention to detail. You will be working closely with the rest of the Accounts team so will need good communication skills.

Job responsibilities:

- Logging invoices received from Suppliers and progressing through the appropriate approval process
- Accurately posting invoices to the accounting systems, ensuring correct coding
- Producing weekly creditor reports for payment runs
- Posting supplier payments to the accounting system
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Dealing with suppliers to resolve queries
- Checking and processing monthly staff expenses
- Maintain financial and administrative security by following internal accounting controls and administrative procedures
- Interpret instructions and issues arising, and then implement actions according to the company's policies and procedures
- Ad hoc accounting duties as required
