**Finance Officer**

**Salary £28,000 - £30,000**

**Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.**

CTS is a global logistics specialist moving security sensitive goods by road, sea and air for government, defence and civil nuclear customers. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to join our team.

The Finance Officer will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions and records within our organisation. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can effectively collaborate with the Operations team and other internal departments to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and financial processing. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general administration.

**Responsibilities**

**Accounts Receivable**:

- Generate sales invoices promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
- Actively review and recover aged debts, liaising with clients and internal teams for timely resolution.
- Coordinate with the Operations team and Corporate Partnerships for raising invoices and maintaining records.
- Manage sales invoicing portals as required by customers, ensuring all invoicing activities are accurately logged.

**Accounts Payable**:

- Raise purchase invoices/reconcile supplier ledgers.
- Allocate payments and receipts from the bank.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Post purchase ledger invoices and process staff expenses in a precise and timely manner.
- Monitor, maintain, and reconcile expenses and credit card transactions, addressing any anomalies.
- Manage the accounts mailbox, ensuring invoices received are approved efficiently and the purchase log is kept up-to-date.
- Preparation and input of journals, prepayments, and accruals.

**General Administration**:

- Handle general office duties including answering telephones, ordering office supplies, refreshments, and toiletries.
- Perform office administration tasks such as franking mail, filing, scanning, laminating, and photocopying as required.
- Process expense and overtime claims.
- Payroll and or payroll journals.
- Demonstrates a highly driven work ethic, consistently delivering high-quality work.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in handling financial data.
- Proficiency in using various IT systems and financial software.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance function.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in task management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly efficient and organized, capable of multitasking and prioritizing effectively.

**Qualifications**:

- Preferably AAT qualified or currently pursuing finance-based studies.

Must have experience working with Sage 50 accounting software.
