My client have been established for 46 years and through using smart technology are now a household name. The successful applicant will be joining a company that offers a fantastic working environment which have an annual turnover of over £400 million.

This innovative home product manufacturer is looking for a free thinking, analytically minded to join their smart technology team as a Firmware Engineer.

The role will be based 3 days a week from their offices in Kent and two days a week from home.

As a Firmware Engineer your role will involve the following responsibilities:

- To manage and participate in the development of firmware utilised in a range of showering and shower control devices
- To develop firmware for new products from conception to production.
- Debug and fault find in existing code / current products and propose suitable solutions.
- Deliver presentations to the senior management team who are non-technical
- Identify trends and areas of focus for continuous improvement.
- Lead and participate in design reviews / critiques related to firmware and its related hardware.
- Excellent knowledge C/C++ programming language and programming techniques
- Good knowledge of real time operating systems (Free RTOS) on embedded platforms.
- Good knowledge of different communication protocols including I2C, RS232, RS485, MQTT and IoT.
