Phlebotomist

Holmhurst Medical Centre is an established General Practice serving over 10,000 patients in the Redhill area. We are situated on the Watercolour Estate close to The Moors Nature Reserve, which is served by a bus link into Redhill. We are committed to providing high quality continuing care within the community and aim to provide a wide range of high quality medical services.

The doctors, nurses, attached health care team and support staff strive to provide the best possible services to our patients.

We are a training practice for doctors, which means that doctors spend time with us (up to 12 months) in order to gain experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform venipunctures and skin punctures to collect blood samples
- Label vials with patient names and dates
- Organise and send specimens to the laboratory for testing
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow infection control procedures at all times
- Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner

**Requirements**:

- Certification in phlebotomy or related field
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques
- Experience working in a clinical setting is preferred
- Basic life support certification

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
