**The Role**:
**Principle Accountabilities**:

- Produce online and offline programs and manufacture high quality components to customer supplied drawings and CAD models in competitive timeframes.
- Maintain program and tooling records for all components produced.
- Liaising with the management and production engineers to maximise the efficient running of the machine tools.
- Ensure associated times regarding component manufacture are maintained when ever possible.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and housekeeping in the workplace.
- To be aware of health and safety legislation as it applies in the workplace.
- Ensure Spindle uptimes and ensure more than one machine is operated at every given opportunity.
- In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required.
- Train and coach possible company apprentices or trainees as well as any other member to staff required.
- CAM Programming experience using Edgecam or Equivalent (Specific software training will be provided)
- Will adapt to the fast pace and cutthroat nature of the industry sectors. Be it high volume low value of vice versa.
- Apprentice served Mechanical Engineer.
- A broad understanding of metallic materials and their associated behaviours.
- Good knowledge on various manufacturing processes.
- Fully conversant in reading Engineering & Manufacturing Drawings including geometrical tolerances.
- Awareness of working AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality standards.
