As a result of expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Administrator, based at Heath Lodge Clinic on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week, worked predominantly Monday - Friday).

Heath Lodge Clinic is an Independent Imaging Centre in Solihull, West Midlands. In addition to MR we also provide X-Ray, Ultrasound, DEXA, and Fluoroscopy, with a Pain Management service for joint and spinal injections, which is in increasing demand.

This is a new role for the clinic, in which you will be a primary point of contact in the patient ‘journey’, offering patients quick and easy administrative access to the Pain Management Unit (PMU) & Ionising Radiations (IR) department. Working closely with the clinical team, you will provide a comprehensive digital administrative support service ensuring all patient appointments are allocated or offered appropriately based on the clinical information detailed in the referral and the relevant Consultant protocol. You will liaise with patients, consultants, and secretaries to ensure comprehensive completion of all pre-procedure administrative documentation and adherence to Heath Lodge Clinic’s processes such that full assessment of suitability to undergo a procedure at the clinic is ascertained ahead of any patient appointment/ admission.

Key responsibilities will include
- Being a single point of contact for all clinical administrative matters
- Ensuring all calls coming into PMU are answered promptly and serviced appropriately.
- Chasing consultants and /or secretaries for patient clinic lists to ensure that they are available for review by PMU within the timeframes set out in the clinic’s policies.
- Ensuring that the nursing/ clinical staff in PMU and IR have comprehensive patient list information in good time to complete telephone pre procedure safety questionnaires.

You will need to have previous medical administration experience. Level 3 qualification in administration would be desirable but it is essential to have experience of secretarial or administrative procedures in a medical environment, with knowledge of medical terminology.

In addition to this you will need to be
- IT literate - essential to help digitalise processes.
- Organised, with excellent planning skills.
- A strong communicator, with excellent influencing skills.
