Catering Assistant

Edwards And Ward are currently recruiting a Catering Assistant for a Primary school in Orpington.

16.25 hours per week.

Monday to Friday **term time only**

Previous catering experience preferred.

The main areas of the role are:

- To comply with Edwards and Ward policies of quality and standards of catering at the unit.
- Prepare food and set up counters to the standard laid down by the management.
- Serve all food and beverages at the specified times and in appropriate quantities.
- Ensure sound knowledge of the food to be served daily, together with the appropriate portion sizes.
- Ensure that all customers receive prompt, courteous service at all times.
- Be sensitive to client and customer reaction and initiate prompt corrective action to overcome real or possible dissatisfaction.
- To comply with the daily cleaning schedule.
- To assist with all aspects of food preparation.
- Maintain Health & Safety and Hygiene standards following the current legislation and company and site policy and procedures.
- Adhere to Edwards and Ward policy in dealing with Customers Comments or Complaints - ensure that your Manager is made aware.
- Ensure that personal appearance and personal hygiene & basic food hygiene, including uniform and footwear are of the highest possible standard at all times, in line with Edwards and Ward Company Policy.
- To participate in all arranged Company Training to improve personal development both in the job and within the Company.
- To provide other duties that may be reasonably required by the Company.
- To adhere to Client and Company policy and guidelines with regard child safeguarding.
