**Head of Capital Works**

**Hybrid**

**£80K depending on experience + discretionary bonus scheme**

Lead a team in delivering Planned Works. The post holder will oversee the planning, implementation, delivery, handover, and commercial control of building projects including safety remediation, retrofit and sustainability projects, ensuring delivery of high quality, value for money works, and will ensure excellent levels of customer service and stakeholder management is provided.

**Key requirements for the Head of Capital Works role**:

- Provide visible leadership and management for teams to deliver high quality projects, ensuring all staff are engaged and committed to achieving set objectives.
- Create the annual programmed delivery plan for major building, safety remediation, retrofit and sustainability projects.
- Deliver specific business change projects for the wider Planned Work regional teams.
- Ensure customers receive an excellent and inclusive service.
- Provide overall responsibility to manage, monitor and report on the impact of delivery performance on the Asset Investment Plan.
- Be accountable for the Planned Works project teams and the allocation of resources to ensure delivery is successful.
- Ensure the team have the appropriate skills and knowledge in terms of project management, performance, cost, and quality management.
- Manage financial and operational risk & report to Programme Board.

**Skills & experience of Head of Capital Works role**:

- Level 6 (degree) or above qualification in Engineering, Building, Construction or Surveying
- Professionally qualified status (MRICS or MCIOB) or working towards
- Diploma level in building construction or building surveying and/ or relevant experience.
