Activity Coordinator

We are delighted to announce exciting opportunities available within the mental health services, in NHS Forth Valley. We are looking for applicants who have an interest to work as an activity coordinator within our low secure male ward (Trystpark).

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, caring and compassionate individuals who are keen to work within a mental health inpatient setting. The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and should possess good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).

The role of the Activity Coordinator is wide and varied and will support the delivery of care under the direction of registered mental health nurses. The main focus of your job will to develop, implement and evaluate an activities programme of social, recreational and therapeutic activities and use a range of activities to provide group and individual sessions which promote physical, social and mental well-being. The main focus will be delivering meaningful activity, including distraction, activities of daily living and coping strategies. Please see the job description for further details of the role.
