Our Planning team play a key role in ensuring our company’s efficiency.

We currently have a vacancy for a Planning and Logistics Team Leader at our site in Ditton, Widnes. The main responsibility for this role will be to manage the site supply and the demand against capacity for the site and suppliers, ensuring stock policies are reviewed and managed within business guidelines.

You will be responsible for managing the Production Planning and Warehouse teams under the guidance of the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager. You will also review stock levels during the month, ensuring production is in line with sales forecasts and creating a monthly report. The Planning & Logistics Team Leader will deputise for the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager and assist in the delivery of S&OP meetings and improving processes.

In this role, you will continually devise and create improvements to systems and ways of working to improve efficiency and the speed of delivery of information from the department, whilst managing escalations to ensure a timely response is made to the Customer Relations team. You will manage the allocation and shortage management process with Customer Relations and Sales to ensure the department is taking appropriate action.

Inventory management will be critical to success within the role to ensure delivery on time to customers whilst minimising stock holding. You will improve/maintain data accuracy and support quarterly stock take processes in addition to collaborating with Group Supply Chain colleagues to deliver improvement projects for the site.

**Essentials**:

- Extensive knowledge of ERP processes in the Sales & Distribution, Production Planning and Materials Management modules
- Very experienced in MS Office packages
- Knowledge of site manufacturing, processes, products, tollers and suppliers
- Excellent communication skills

**Desirables**:

- Educated to degree level
- Line Management Experience
- Professional Qualifications e.g. Lean Six Sigma, CIPS, APICS etc
- Experience within Chemical, Pharmaceutical or Biotech environment
- SAP experience
