Vehicle Inspector

**We are looking for a Mechanical Inspector to join our busy Inspections Department at BCA Blackbushe (Camberley)**. Within this role, you will be responsible for the initial inspection process at our remarketing site, prior to transportation of the vehicles to refurbishment sites.**

**Our recruitment process will include phone interview with our Talent Acquisition Specialist. This will be followed with a face-to-face interview, site tour and completing a skill test that will last approximately 2 hours.**

**Salary: £34,000 per annum + **Overtime (paid as time and half over 40 hours)**

**Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm**

**Main responsibilities**:

- Completing a short road test on the vehicle to identify any major issues (includes excessive noise or rattling engine noises)
- Carry out vehicle QC inspection following set of company procedures (checking oil, fluids, warning lights, visual under bonnet and wheel nuts check)
- Process all good vehicles to the loading area for transport to the refurb site
- Maintain all systems ensuring that adequate and appropriate records are created and maintained
- Other ad-hoc duties may be required

**Skills and experience required**:

- Previous experience in inspecting vehicles either cosmetically or mechanically (required)
- Full UK Driving Licence (you will be required to test both automatic and manual cars)
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of good / bad vehicle “feel” when driving
- Ability to use and understand the output from vehicle diagnostic readers (training can be provided)
- You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
- You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required
- Excellent attention to detail
