Teaching Assistant One to One KS2

Aura Education are working in partnership with a mainstream primary school in the Knowsley area L36, who are looking for a One-to-One Teaching Assistant to work in the KS2 department.

The position on offer is to support a child on a one-to-one basis with their education, social and emotional development. The pupil is year 5 and support will be given under the direction of the class teacher so excellent communication is needed.

This is an extremely challenging, but rewarding role so you will need to be resilient, emphatic and understand the issues that these young people face.

You will need to have excellent relationship building skills and will ideally have experience of working in a similar setting with KS2 pupils.

A background in sports or coaching would be a huge advantage.

This full-time role is for term time only and will run for 2 full terms. Working hours are 8.30am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have experience in a similar environment.
- Have supported children in KS1 or 2 in an education or similar setting (other experience will be considered)
- Have excellent communication, written & verbal skills.
- Have a qualification relevant to working in an education setting (other qualifications will be considered)
- Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get one in process.
- Be able to commit Monday to Friday (term time) 8.30am-3.30pm

**Salary**: £74.00-£78.00 per day

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Prescot: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Special education (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- DBS (required)
