**_Reports to: Managing Editor, AccountingWEB_**

**_Location: Hybrid/Remote_**

**_Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week_**

**_Salary: £25K - £28K_**

AccountingWEB, the UK’s premier online community and news source for accounting professionals, is seeking a Deputy Editor.

For over two decades, AccountingWEB has held its position as the market-leading publication for the accounting profession, delivering industry news, expert commentary, technological insights, and peer-driven, community-sourced advice.

As the Deputy Editor, you will be a proactive journalist supporting the Editor in managing the editorial team, shaping the editorial strategy and delivering engaging content on the latest issues and trends that shape the accountancy and tax profession.

You will monitor and measure the onsite performance of content and audience development plans in alignment with agreed KPIs, making data-driven decisions to optimise results.

You will be commercially aware and collaborate with the Head of Branded Content on commercial project ideas, ensuring they align with the publication's values and standards.

You will also be expected to attend accountancy events and contribute to the organisation and delivery of AccountingWEB's webinars, podcasts, digital events, and in-person events, demonstrating confidence in delivering engaging content to our audience.

This is a unique opportunity to deputise and run the site when the editor is away or working on other projects and to support AccountingWEB in delivering content for our Accounting Excellence awards program and annual exhibition at Birmingham's NEC arena.

**Hybrid working**

Sift uses a hybrid flexible working model which consists of time split between working from the office and home. Fully remote working can be considered.
