**Description**:
**As a Finance Officer, you will be part of a small team providing accurate and timely financial management, delivering essential accountability to our funders and ensuring that every penny St Petrocs receives achieves the maximum positive outcome for people accessing our services.**
Your duties will largely be systems-based (primarily the Xero accounts package), and on a day-to-day basis will involve payments and receipts processing, bank reconciliations, processing invoices, and other general administrative tasks. You will be part of the team delivering regular management accounts for the leadership team and the board of trustees, as well as producing statutory year-end accounts.

**What you'll be doing.**:
- Ensure all income is recorded at the time of receipt and is appropriately entered in the organisation’s financial records.
- Ensure all expenses are recorded appropriately in the organisation’s financial records.
- Ensure all income due is invoiced and received.
- Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled on a weekly basis.
- Ensure suppliers and other entities are paid on time using electronic payment methods.
- Investigate and query unusual levels of expenditure.
- Ensure expenditure is within individual staff authorisation limits.
- Ensure all control accounts are reconciled and assets and liabilities are correctly recorded.
- Ensure financial procedures are recorded, kept up to date, and make best use of the technologies available.
- Assist in the preparation of regular management accounts and the production of statutory year-end accounts.
- Monitor and respond to enquiries coming into the team inbox.
- Together with the rest of the Finance Team, raise awareness of cost savings and revenue maximisation.
- Work in other areas of the service as required.
- Attend events as a positive ambassador for St Petrocs, promoting and raising awareness of its services and inspiring existing and potential supporters.
- Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested.
