Video Editor

**Do you love creating epic, engaging videos?**

We’re looking for an enthusiastic video editor who will be happy to tell the story of Better Proposals to the world, build relationships with our potential customers and support our existing customers with quality educational and entertaining video content.

You will be editing videos for various outputs and social channels - this will mean you work very closely with the marketing team's efforts so our content is aligned with our messages and values. You will be responsible for downloading pre-recorded footage and cutting together shorts and teasers, as well as more long-form content and podcasts episodes.

The job is fully remote, but we will have a monthly get-together with some of the marketing team in Brighton to share ideas, make plans and work together.

**A day in the life...**

**What you’ll do**:

- Use your creative genius by adding a compelling and highly shareable dimension through engaging visuals, sounds and tight editing. The content itself might not always be the most exciting thing in the world so it’s your job to keep their attention with the current trends of what audiences want to see.
- Use your initiative to come up with fresh ideas to reach our potential, new and existing users with engaging content. This can be through a use of existing content that gets repurposed or new content ideas that need to be shot by us and then edited by you.
- Add text captions for all videos.
- You’ll need to have the confidence to make content decisions, decide what works and what doesn’t to maximise the effectiveness of each video. This isn’t a collaborative role that requires multiple reviews to get it perfect. We need decent content consistently and need our editor to take responsibility for ensuring that’s achieved.
- Post on various socials and review video performance and archive across various social media platforms to highlight best practice and opportunities

**Requirements**:

- At least 2 years of experience being a video editor (freelance or employed)
- Need to be proactive in taking the content we produce and churn it out in a bunch of different formats to suit our target market without the need for collaboration or review. This will be your department to run effectively.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
- English should be your first language which will be required for the extensive captions needed on all videos.
- Full, licenced Adobe CC suite, (Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop etc).
- A good, solid internet connection for downloading raw footage.
- You have experience in producing engaging content for previous businesses (ideally SaaS related but not crucial)
- You have a passion and enjoy video editing - you follow the latest trends and techniques. You also understand our brand voice and can see yourself communicating the same way.
- Attending a monthly meeting in Brighton with some of the team

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
