Foundry Coremaker

We have excellent opportunity to join a long established foundry in Stockton on Tees.

To keep up with growing business demands, and assist in manufacturing of high integrity complex castings, including large diesel engine components, compressors and pumps, we are looking to increase our existing workforce with coremakers / moulders to produce chemically-bonded sand cores or moulds.

Job description:

- To clean and smooth moulds, cores, and core boxes, and repair surface imperfections.
- Sift and pack sand into mould sections, core boxes, and pattern contours, using hand or pneumatic ramming tools.
- Position patterns inside mould sections, and clamp sections together.

*Ensure that a good standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times.

*All tasks to be completed in the safest manner, adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations.

Environment
- A dirty working environment which may be hot or cold weather dependant.
- Physically demanding.
- You will need to wear the appropriate PPE for this role.

Dependent on experience up to £13.62 p.h with a premium overtime rate.

Pay: From £13.62 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
