Helen Morgan MP is seeking a Caseworker to join her team and help make a real difference to people’s lives in North Shropshire.

If you are organised, a good communicator and care about helping others then this is the role for you.

**What is a caseworker?**

Caseworkers handle individual cases brought to the MP by constituents. This includes dealing with large amounts of incoming queries, identifying what each case involves and communicating with a variety of relevant agencies to try and solve the problem.

Cases include a broad range of issues from health to housing to immigration and education.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to draft and produce a high volume of quality Casework responses under time pressure
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Be competent in use of IT and adaptable to using new systems.
- Be able to empathise with others
- Be highly organised

Understanding of the North Shropshire area is desirable.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Providing advice and support to constituents on a variety of issues, by liaising with Government agencies, the local council and wider partnership network
- Keeping accurate records, in line with data protection principles
- Undertaking general office and administration tasks
- Accompanying and supporting the MP at constituency surgeries

**Location and hours**

The role is advertised as full-time, although flexible and part-time working would also be considered. The position will be based within a lively and dynamic team in Helen’s constituency office in North Shropshire.
