We are currently seeking an expert individual to join this team in the role of Finance Business Partner - Unsecured Lending.

In this role, you will:

- Be responsible for all business finance activities relating to the UK Personal loans business, including monthly performance reporting, forecasting and annual planning
- Liaise regularly with WPB senior management and also partner with Senior Finance leaders across WPB to help explain commercial drivers of financial performance and highlight risk and opportunities
- Convert financial and non-financial information and associated KPIs into business intelligence that guides management decision making and contributes to strategy formulation;
- Bring together the core financials of the business and the further granularity available across non-financial metrics including key commercial drivers, to support the business in assessing and challenging performance;
- Work closely with the UK business and product teams to support performance management as well as strategic direction including development of new business cases;
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience;
- Experience in financial modelling (i.e. developing/maintaining excel based models with large number of data points and calculations);
- Experience in delivering monthly/quarterly performance reports, forecasting and planning activities
- Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and demonstrable business partnering experience.

The base location for this role is Birmingham and with a hybrid working pattern.
