Our offices are based in Manchester, hybrid working is encouraged however attendance at the office 2 days per week is desired.

Typically, our turnkey projects range between £150k to £5m+ and include roof-mounted PV, ground-mounted solar PV, including complimentary technologies such as energy storage, DNO LV upgrades, LV electrical installations, LED lighting upgrades & commercial heat pump upgrades.

**Overview of role**:
Based within our dynamic bid writing team, this role will work on every element of the bid writing process, supporting the production of bespoke high-quality PQQ and tender submissions.

A collaborative approach to working and excellent communication skills will be expected, along with the ability to work with colleagues across the business to produce strong tender submissions.

You must be flexible and have demonstrable experience in creating persuasive written responses along with verbal presentation skills

Knowledge of renewable energy or sustainability sectors would be advantageous, but not essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with clients and co-ordinate internal teams to support the development of and writing bespoke, high quality PQQ and ITT submissions which demonstrate a clear understanding of client requirements
- Write clear, focused and logical negotiated proposal material maintaining consistency of style, brand and tone
- Translate technical information into a written proposal that is clear and can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences
- Clearly communicate the key benefits of our tender response through the development of compelling proposals and presentations
- Produce case studies and gather additional evidence that supports submissions
- Maintain the bid library and collate high scoring bid responses to support future submissions
- Maintain the bid pipeline and reporting process in conjunction with Bid Team colleagues.
- Support the Sales Team in the preparation of negotiated proposal submissions
- Promote a drive for customer excellence across the virtual team and embed same into all stages of bid process
- Ad hoc duties as required

**Qualifications**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience (essential)
- Renewable Energy and/or sustainability background (desirable)
- APMP member/accredited member (desirable)

**Skills, Knowledge, Experience.**
- At least 2 years’ experience of operating within a bid writing role (essential)
- Proven, successful bid-writing experience from within both the public and private sectors (essential)
- Good organisational and time-management skills (essential)
- Good business acumen (essential)
- Thorough understanding of the bid process (essential)
- Experience of proposals, bids and tender writing within a fast-paced office environment (desirable)
- Desktop publishing skills (desirable)
- Knowledge of the energy/environmental and/or construction sectors (desirable)
- Working knowledge of electronic tender platforms
- Self-driven, results orientated with a positive outlook and clear focus on client satisfaction
- Reliable, tolerant, empathetic team player
- Accurate, ability to be assertive and articulate; pays attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise well when working on multiple projects concurrently
- Strong attention to detail, accurate and methodical in work to overcome challenges and see projects through to completion
- Excellent computer skills with advanced MS Word and a strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of InDesign and Illustrator (essential)
- Clear communicator, confident in communicating and influencing at all levels
- Ability to build relationships and a good rapport with clients to generate confidence
