Our client is a widely successful and established international company within their industry and are seeing a Sales and Logistics Co-ordinator to join their sales support team.

You’ll be responsible for liaising with their customers and internal staff to ensure the customers requirements are met in terms of specification and time scales.

This position reports to the Sales Office Manager and will cover both Export & UK sales & Logistics.

**Job Specification**:
**Sales**:

- Supporting and liaising with the Sales Office Manager distributors UK & Export Sales Managers for quotations and sales.
- Providing quotations, processing orders, raising sales invoices and credit notes through their bespoke computer system.
- Expediting goods through various freight companies and providing appropriate documentation, including liaison with Sales Office Manager regarding suitable collection times.
- Preparing documents for payment by Bank Collections and Letters of Credit.
- Liaising with customer as necessary on prices, delivery schedules and amendments.
- Customer Complaints - add any new complaints and manage/update the database.
- To cover reception duties when necessary and answering the door.
- To cover in sales office (Export & UK), filing and various ad hoc duties where necessary.
- To actively support at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of security with particular emphasis on the protection on sensitive customer and company information.
- Adhere to all internal processes and procedures for the department.
- To work closely with all internal departments in order to build and retain effective long-term relationships.
- Provide cover for other team members.

**Logistics**
- Enter all sales orders on despatch database and update relevant database’s as required.
- Liaise with customers expected delivery times.
- Weekly meetings to liaise with production and despatch regarding loading of orders.
- Calculate packing space and costs for export delivery.
- Liaise with freight forwarders/customers, book containers & trailers as appropriate..
- Follow up trailer and container arrival if required.
- Issue clearance/customs/despatch documents as required.
- Enter & check monthly Intrastats & EU sales list and reports, submit entries to HMRC online etc.

**Essential**
- Understanding of and ability to complete all necessary documentation for export of goods worldwide, including Certificates of Origin, ER1, invoices, packing list.
- UK Logistic experience including knowledge of EU Drivers Hours regulations.
- Good knowledge of the geography of the United Kingdom and the EU.
- High level of numerical ability.
- Fully computer literate.
- Structured, methodical, analytical and well organised..
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

**Desirable**
- One or more additional languages would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of EFACS computer programme.
- Negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of procedures for payment by Bank Collection and Documentary Credit.
- Knowledge of UK Transport & Logistic Laws.

Job is 36.5 hours per week. (Monday-Friday)

£25-30,000 P.A. (based on experience)
