**Job Title**: Purchase Ledger Clerk

**Department**:Finance

**Reporting To**:Financial Controller

**Hours**: 24 hours per week

**Primary Job Purpose**:
An exciting opportunity position has arisen for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our small fast paced finance team on a part time basis. The successful applicant will assist in the smooth running of the team and provide accurate and timely accounting to ensure reporting deadlines are met and assist with the overall effectiveness of the department.

**About The Role**

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Creation of new suppliers in accordance with company policy
- Raise purchase orders
- Process invoices from suppliers
- Deal with employee expenses
- Chase delivery and invoice queries
- Update supplier payments, processing duty and VAT invoices
- Look after petty cash
- Perform general ad-hoc office tasks

**Key Skills**
- Good attention to detail
- IT literacy, including Microsoft packages
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- An organised and efficient work ethic
- Experience of working with the purchase ledger in a similar role
- Knowledge of using SAGE 200 would be beneficial
