Demand Planner

Elevation Procurement and Supply Chain are pleased to have partnered with the UK’s largest Wholesale Distributor of Solar PV, Energy Storage Systems and EV-charging, based in Bolton, to recruit a Demand Planner.

Purpose of the Job:
Work alongside the expanded Order Processing team and provide a critical link between stock planning, forecasts, and orders - primarily for the UK business, but with the flexibility to support the other regional businesses in the same task. The ability to find, sort and analyse data in Excel and the ERP system to identify critical products needed to enable efficient processing of the customer order book will be the key function of the role, as well as providing critical cover for the existing Regional Demand Planning team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyse existing order requirements, identify key product shortfalls and critical parts for upcoming orders, and ensure stock continuity and valid forecasts are in place for those parts.
- Assist the Order Processing team in analysing and aligning the existing stock portfolio to allow them to process the most important orders, maintain a high volume of order processing, and help ensure all Segen warehouses are operating at a high level of shipments on a weekly basis.
- Identify and address critical upcoming stock shortages, and work with the local purchasing teams to identify and procure critical stock from alternative sources.
- To work alongside warehouse & logistics department to ensure physical and system reported stocks are accurate.
- Work with local operations and order processing teams to monitor inbound stock details, undertake stock profiling, and other KPI assessment
- Address local supply/demand imbalances and recommend stock alignments between all local stock locations.
- Be a critical part of the local Segen team, acting as the key point of contact for senior sales, leadership and marketing functions and local key customers.
- Analyse data to make suggestions on enhancing Planning effectiveness.
- Provide cover for Regional Demand Planners.
- Any other tasks required to support the Order Processing Manager on improving and monitoring stock availability.

In this role you should be able to demonstrate the following skills, abilities, behaviours, and attitude:

- Experience in Supply or Demand Planning and Order Processing within a fast-paced environment or suitable Graduate level qualifications.
- Detail driven, analytical approach; task oriented and creative problem solving
- Ability to work well across multiple teams and business functions at all levels of seniority
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong mathematical mind-set and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure with autonomy

Package:

- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
- Based in Bolton, BL2 - hybrid working
