Front Desk Receptionist

**Part-time (job share) receptionist**

King’s Lynn Chiropractic Clinic is an established clinic in the centre of King’s Lynn, providing both private and NHS treatment for a variety of musculo-skeletal complaints.

We are looking for a part-time receptionist who will provide a professional and welcoming service to patients, to enable clinicians to focus on giving the highest-quality care. The front desk can be very busy at times so we are looking for someone who can remain calm under pressure.

Main duties:

- Providing customer service to patients whilst in the clinic
- Making/changing appointments for patients
- Processing payments, and reconciling takings at the end of the day
- Processing letters and reports
- Opening and closing the office
- Running and circulating/actioning system reports (using the clinic’s software package)
- Scanning and uploading documents
- Washing/drying clinical gowns

Essential attributes
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience in using Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel
- High standard of literacy and numeracy
- Able to remain calm and focused during busy periods

Desirable attributes
- Experience in using patient management software/similar
- Experience in using a MAC computer

The normal working hours for this role will be Monday 9.15 am - 7.00 pm and Wednesday 8.45 am - 6.00 pm, paid at an hourly rate, with an hour for lunch. There may be slight variations in this from time to time. In addition the successful applicant will be expected to provide cover for holiday and sickness, both planned and unplanned, alongside the other members of the reception team. The hourly rate is £11.05 before 6 pm and £11.70 after 6 pm (with pay increase pending).
