**Job Description**:
Ares is currently searching for a highly motivated, detail-oriented team player to join as an Associate in the European Credit Group specialising in Product Management and Investor Relations in the London office. This individual will be working closely with the London-based Product Management and Investor Relations group to provide investor relations support, including ongoing fund reporting for investors, investor presentation support, addressing investor information requests and market/competitor research analysis. They must have strong organisational, interpersonal, quantitative and analytical skills and must be able to meet deadline requirements.

The Associate will work in the European Credit group and support Product Specialists in providing information and expertise on firm strategies and funds to clients. The Associate will assist in producing fund reporting for investors on a monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis, as well as assisting in building new client materials and various prospect/marketing materials, as well as updating market and fund specific data within existing materials.

**Responsibilities**:- Produce monthly/quarterly portfolio reports for investors in commingled funds and separately managed accounts, working with Finance and Portfolio Management teams to collate relevant data- Liaise with Finance, Portfolio Management, Legal and Compliance teams to respond to a broad range of investor requests including audit confirmations, financial statement and fee data requests, as well as processing updates to investor details such as wire instructions and authorised signatories- Drive process for creating responses to investor questionnaires, due diligence, and ad hoc requests for existing and potential clients- Create and edit marketing investor materials for co-investment and funds- Maintain quantitative and qualitative key metrics on competitors- Build and “own” client materials and various prospect/marketing materials, updating market and fund specific data within existing materials on a quarterly or ad hoc basis- Take on ad hoc projects and support all other teammates with their work as needed

**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience- Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance- Fixed income or loan/credit experience preferred but not required- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and represent the Firm in a professional manner- Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organisation- Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel- Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines- Takes initiative and has a strong work ethic- Creative, ready to think outside the box and add input to improving existing workflows- Proficiency in financial accounting and quantitative analysis skills- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with multiple tasks
