**I'm recruiting for a Trainee Sales / Pricing Coordinator to join a busy, well established freight forwarding company based in the Hayes area. This role has the potential to be a hybrid working opportunity after a successful 6 month probation period.**
**This is an excellent opportunity and a potential stepping stone to progress into a Business Development Managers role. You must have a minimum 2 years experience in the freight / logistics industry preferably in operations import/export or customer service.**
**Daily duties will include**:
- Providing customer quotations
- Following up on quotations
- Obtaining and negotiating ocean freight rates, local charges and delivery rates from shipping lines
- Developing business relationships with new and existing customers
- Completing tenders and marketing tools
- Handover process to operations for any shipments won
- Develop relationships with overseas agents and assist with routed business, providing charges and local information
**Requirements**:
- Outgoing attitude, comfortable with face to face meetings and strong telephone manner
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
- Minimum 2 years experience in freight / logistics
**Working hours**:
- Monday - Friday 0830am - 1630pm
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £20,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Hayes, Greater London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
