The post holder will be expected to work both as a team member but alsoindependently, within set policies, guidelines and procedures to provide a full range of reception and clerical services to the phlebotomy service. A front of house service, the post requires a competent and professional manner when dealing with patients, visitors and staff to ensure an efficient service.The role requires the post holder to be able to communicate with a wide range of people both in person and on the telephone.Working as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team dealing with the public and engaging with a range of other Health Care Providers including General Practitioners, GP surgery staff and acute providers.Complete competence in office procedures, good written skills and a high degree of IT skills will be used on a daily basis. The post holder will come into contact with sensitive patient information and so should have an understanding of data protection and confidentiality. The post holder will be able to demonstrate a calm nature under stressful situations and be able to use common sense in accessing prompt help when the need arises.
