**Hardware Design Engineer**

**Walter Everett Is a recruitment agency and we are currently helping our client to recruit anElectronic Design Engineer.**

**The client designs and manufactures energy-efficient, cutting-edge lighting and control product systems for industry and residential customers. They are global specialists in electronic and digital building infrastructure.**

**The role**

You will be working onsite, in a research and development department on cutting-edge lighting technology. This expanding team are recruiting a design engineer, who will oversee the development of electronics solutions for new products. You will also redesignfor compliance and performance of existing products. This role will be working onsite 5 days per week in London.

**Key Duties**:

- **Product design engineering**:

- Prototyping during feasibility studies
- Implementation of development and test environments
- Participate in the qualification and pre-series phases
- Technical follow-up of subcontractors
- Support the definition of product requirements with Product Managers
- Design for manufacturing
- Promoting existing products optimization and Redesign to cost
- Explore design limits, and propose solutions
- **Other**:

- Quality control and compliance testing for the electronics design and failure investigation
- Working closely with mechanical designer, industrial and quality team
- Any other Ad hoc duties as and when requested

**Job competencies/Key skills**:

- Altium Designer or other electronics CAD tool
- Basic analogue and digital electronic knowledge
- PCB design
- Hardware Engineer, Schematic Design, Sensor Design,
- Integration of embedded software with digital or analogue design
- Signal conditioning for analogue signals, as well as digital signal processing
- Knowledge about EMC tests for design and compliance
- Performing tests of new hardware releases
- Debugging and redesign for compliance
- Hardware design of Power supplies switched and linear
- Appreciation of low power consumption design
- Microchip PIC family knowledge
- STM32 Microcontroller family knowledge
- RTOS knowledge will be a differential
- Problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic, Team spirit, mutual help, and ability to work well as a team player
- Loves to learn, curious
- Engaged to the quality of its deliverables
- Diplomacy and excellent communication skills
- Prior experience in the Lighting control’s industry could be a differential
