We are looking to recruit a trainee accountant to join our fast growing accountancy department. You will be either part AAT qualified or looking to take your first step onto a career in accountancy.

The position is in our vibrant accountancy team and will involve all parts of accounts and tax return preparation for sole traders, moving to limited companies thereafter. You’ll get to know a full range of software. Full in-house training will be provided on all our systems to get you up to speed and producing the excellent quality of work we are renowned for.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

- Processing of timely bookkeeping for clients in accordance with the clients agreed service packages;
- Preparation of sole trade/partnership/limited company accounts from computerised records through to completion, including dealing with senior review points, within agreed budgeted timeframe;
- Preparation of corporate and personal tax returns through to completion, including dealing with senior review points, within agreed budgeted timeframe;
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts in accordance with the clients agreed service package within agreed budgeted timeframe;
- Timely requesting of client records and delivery of information;
- Liaising with clients for queries and providing ad hoc support when necessary;
- An expectation of continual learning and personal development outside of structured courses.

**Skills**
- You should feel confident working both independently, and supporting and working with the team as a whole to meet our targets and deliver work for our clients.
- You should feel comfortable multi-tasking when required.
- A fine eye for detail to produce accurate and reliable information.
- A methodical and organised approach to work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, to be able to contribute in team meetings to better understand our business as a whole.
- A drive and commitment to fully commit and achieve in whatever task is set.
- An inquisitive mind and not afraid to ask questions.
- A track record of passing exams with high marks.
