Pastry Cook

We at Olive Dining are recruiting for a baker or pasty chef to assist the chef manager in being fully responsible for the bakery section at Stoke Newington school - N16 9EX - Hackney

The baker/pastry cook in preparing cakes, tray bakes, dessert etc for large numbers. If you have experience working in a school or production kitchen then this could be for you.

**We offer**
- Mon to Fri
- 27.5 hours per week
- £15.50 per hour equivalent to around £18400 per annum
- You will have up to weeks holiday per annum

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate pastry production with the overall menu

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or bakery setting
- Knowledge of food production techniques, including baking, pastry preparation, and dessert plating
- Familiarity with culinary terminology and techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
