Apprentice/labourer

Looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join our team. We are a joinery and flooring specialist company based around Edinburgh and Lothians. We are looking for a new staff member that is willing to learn the trade, work tasks include:
Heavy lifting

Operating power tools

Assist in tasks related to fitting hardwood flooring in the scope to be fully trained in this skill.

Typical working week is between Mon-Fri 8-4pm with one hour unpaid lunch and sometimes a half day on a Friday depending on the work load. Own transport would be beneficial but not essential. Must be willing to become self employed as we are a registered Construction Industry Scheme company. We can assist with accountant help. Uniform supplied.

This is an opportunity to join a friendly, flexible and small family run business.

Hourly rate of £12 per hour with scope for this to be increased depending on skill level or learning capacity.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform general labor tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment
- Clean and maintain work area
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently

Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment operation

**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
