- To build calculation models, load, check and sign off customer data onto the administration system and issue key customer communications for Pension Risk Transfer business.What you'll be doing
- Analysing scheme data, building calculation models, loading scheme specific benefits to the administration system independently and complete test calculations to ensure that customers are accurately quoted and paid in line with the benefit specification and agreed SLAs, and internal clients have accurate information for their downstream processes
- Producing and issuing member correspondence which accurately reflect scheme benefits, liaising with a third party printing house when appropriate, in line with agreed timescales to notify customers of the policy and benefit entitlement
- Checking and signing off scheme loads and member correspondence completed by other team members
- Providing the highest level of support to clients both internally and externally to ensure that all enquiries are resolved in accordance with the relevant SLAs
- Taking responsibility for the testing and documenting of all processes to ensure that all are appropriate and consistent
- Ensuring that all processes are created and followed to ensure that a full audit trail exists throughout the lifecycle of all data items
- Supporting and training less experienced members of the team in new processes.
- Ensuring all internal customers and any relevant third parties are kept updated in a timely fashion on any key information which impacts their processing to enable them to treat the end customer fairly

What we're looking for
- Pension Qualification such as CII or PMI or demonstrable equivalent experience in this field
- Understanding of defined benefit pension schemes is essential.
- Understanding of the way benefits are structured and administered in Defined Benefits schemes.
- Has a knowledge of the following legislation and remains compliant: GDPR, Money Laundering, Complaints, Treating Customers Fairly, and Breach guidelines
- Has a strong understanding of the risks to their team, and the business. Actively takes steps to reduce these risks.
- Highly customer focused and understands the need to maintain and improve relationships with both internal and external customers. This includes policyholders, scheme members, legislative bodies, third parties and your colleagues within the whole of L&G.
- Able to provide an accurate and cost-effective service by getting it right first time and actively supports and trains others to reach the same high standard.
- Basic user experience in MS Excel and Word
- Ability to manage tight timescales, prioritise own work or escalate if necessary
- Clear written and verbal communication
