**Full Job Description**

Our Early Years Practitioners are at the heart of the work we do here at Buttons pre-school in Ramsgate and we are so excited to be offering the opportunity for you to join us as and become a part of our wonderful team.

Buttons Pre-School provides term time education in a caring, family motivated and professional environment. Children learn through play in a nurturing and relaxing setting.

We are looking for Early Years Practitioners that have a passion for the early years and who are dedicated to nurturing and educating children using the EYFS statutory framework, while believing in the very best for children.

The part-time hours for these roles are 25 hours per week or 19 hours per week, working these hours across Mondays to Fridays inclusive, term times only.

The pay is £10.90 per hour, plus £1.36 per hour holiday enhancement

**A BIT ABOUT US**

Spurgeons/Fegans Children's Charity brings hope to the lives of children, families and communities across the UK. We do this by providing qualified counselling for children and support, intervention and training for parents, as well as offering a nurturing environment within a Pre-School setting, providing an important and positive approach to children’s early years foundation. Working holistically and in partnership, our aim is to transform this nation one child at a time.

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

To care and nurture the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs of the children within the Pre-School.

**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To work well in a team to create a nurturing, happy and secure environment and to work in co-operation with the Manager when working with other professionals.
- To respect every child as a unique child and to encourage and celebrate children’s achievements and skills
- To plan and deliver learning experiences and activities to meet individual needs.
- To work within the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and the vision and values of a Buttons Pre-School to promote high levels of education and care.
- To signpost families when appropriate to other Fegans services such as parenting support and counselling.
- To register children on arrival and collection ensuring they return to the named person and to help with room preparation and cleaning of toys and equipment
- To keep up to date with good practice and attend additional training when required by management.

**A BIT ABOUT YOU**
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Child Development and Education desirable but not essential.
- A demonstrable history, passion and heart for working with children and families.
- Good communication skills and an ability to engage with people at all levels.
- Highly motivated and happy to work congenially as part of a team.
- An understanding of the Key Person approach.
- An excellent understanding of safeguarding and how this is put into practice on a daily basis
