System Control Centre Lead

To work with system partners and locality/ hospital site based colleagues to respond to demand and capacity changes, proactively monitoring patient flow across the system to deliver a coordinated response.
- To Chair and facilitate the system calls for BSOL ICB and its partners.
- To agree and progress actions from the system calls to promote system coordination and delivery of safe, timely and effective patient care.
- To fulfil the of Tactical Commander for the ICB during the hours of 08:00-20:00 hours managing all system responses, escalations, and incident response.
- Be the conduit between NHS England Regional Operations Centre (ROC) and place-based partners/ organisations acting as the Single Point of Contact.
- Lead and manage matrix staff working within the SCC function.
- To champion the role of the SCC

**The Job holder will be accountable for**:
- Agreeing tactical and pro-active system flow decisions with locality and hospital site leads in real time
- Managing the team’s business support function.
- Liaising with functions across the ICB and its partners.
- Managing all corporate UEC and SCC business returns, including planning returns.
- Developing and implementing a robust management system to ensure information is effectively managed and best practice is shared across the team, Directorate and the wider health and social care organisations.
Taking a lead in the coordination of training and development and recruitment activity across the Department.
