We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our day shift Monday to Friday, 40 hours week.

**The role**:
The Goods Inward operative will report to the Goods In Team Lead and take responsibility for the unloading, breakdown and inspection of all deliveries into the warehouse. They will receive all stock onto the warehouse operating system with an impeccable level of accuracy while ensure all work is completed by the end of their shift.

**The successful person**:

- Will have a strong work ethic, a focus on teamwork; and the drive to continuously improve
- Physical stamina will be important as manual handling is a key part of the job
- Will have the ability to work in an environment with constantly changing priorities
- Experience of working within a busy warehouse environment would be an advantage
- Unloading of trailers
- Ensuring deliveries are receipted and available for storage in an orderly and timely way.
- General housekeeping duties to ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy.
- Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any faults or wear and tear.
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Reach, PPT and Counterbalance licences would be desirable.

**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**

**Essential**
- Good communication skills
- Good team working skills

**Desirable**
- 2 years’ experience in a FMCG warehouse/distribution centre
- Basic computer skills
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Forklift certification
- Manual handling
